OUR FOCUS

CEO & Founder George Love, along with his wife, Stephanie, began Prepared: The Gateway of the Northwest in 1996. It was officially incorporated as a 501(C) in 2003. From the beginning, Prepared has been focused on feeding, educating, and inspiring disadvantaged communities in St. Louis, MO, Chicago, IL, and Tacoma, WA.

Prepared’s latest program, the Dorothy May Walker-Love High-Five Scholarship Fund, has generated attention for it’s unconventional approach as an academic incentive program. The High-Five Scholarship Fund offers $500 scholarships to High School Graduating Scholars In the St. Louis Metropolitan region who demonstrate above-average academic growth and a commitment to self-improvement.

Through our High-Five Scholarship Fund, we want to let students know that when they invest in themselves, other’s will invest in them also.

Mission: Supporting our communities with a Servitude Attitude towards Humanity. With Love, we will Feed and Clothe the less fortunate; With Compassion, we will Educate and encourage our youth through Academic Improvement.

Stephanie Love Is a woman whose last name speaks Volumes, about her ability to spring into action. When their organization “Prepared The Gateway” Adopted a single student at Walbridge Elementary, Stephanie went Shopping passionately for this beautiful adolescent 11 year old girl. But It turned out that the girl had seven more siblings, and was In a single parent home. Immediately Stephanie and her husband George decided to Adopt the whole family of Nine. They started by buying brand new clothing, delivering food and furnishings their home with everything they needed. They also offered Mentorship to the whole family, while meeting them where they are at. We believe in giving back towards building better communities.
